Amal Tudawe
A Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 40 years of experience in M&E Engineering across Sri Lanka, the UK, and Australia, Amal Tudawe currently leads the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Division at Tudawe Brothers (Pvt) Ltd and Tudawe Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd.
His international career includes consulting roles in Australia with Norman Disney & Young and Barry Webb & Associates, and R&D work in the UK with ISOPAD. Amal’s contributions span electrical design, air-conditioning, fire protection, and building services.

Amal Tudawe
Managing Director
Amal Dushan Tudawe is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with over four decades of multidisciplinary expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering. His leadership has been instrumental in the evolution and success of Tudawe Brothers (Pvt) Ltd and Tudawe Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd, where he currently serves as Managing Director, heading the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Division.
Amal’s career spans Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and Australia, reflecting his global exposure and deep technical acumen. In Sri Lanka, he has overseen the engineering design and execution of numerous landmark projects, where his role includes the end-to-end management of electrical design systems in collaboration with leading architects and consultants. His oversight extends across key building services such as HVAC, fire detection and suppression, lighting, power distribution, and facility maintenance systems.
Internationally, Amal served in Australia as a consultant with the renowned engineering firms Norman Disney & Young and Barry Webb & Associates in Sydney, where he contributed to large-scale infrastructure and commercial developments. His technical capabilities included advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software such as CALA and Power Pack, and the preparation of complex contract documentation for high-value mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects.
Earlier in his career, while working in the UK at ISOPAD Research and Development, Amal was engaged in R&D of cutting-edge technologies, including electric trace heating systems, frost protection units, thyristor-controlled electric wheelchairs, and TTL logic-based control systems. This foundational experience in applied engineering and innovation has continued to influence his leadership style and technical decision-making.

Jaikish Tudawe
Jaikish Tudawe is a Director and Engineer of Tudawe Brothers (Pvt) Ltd., with over 40 years’ experience in the construction field. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of South Bank in London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Builders – UK (FCIOB), a Chartered Builder, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation – UK (FCIHT). Presently he is the Vice President of the Ceylon Institute of Builders

Gayan Tudawe is a dynamic cross-sector leader with over 21 years of experience spanning aviation, construction, ICT, project management and corporate governance. Currently an Airbus A330/A320 Captain at Sri Lankan
Airlines, and a Director of Tudawe Holdings — a legacy family business comprising subsidiaries from general contracting, specialist contracting and trading. —and Honorary CEO of the Major Constructors of Sri Lanka (MCSL) along with a board position in the national construction association of Sri Lanka (NCASL). Gayan is widely recognized for pioneering digital transformation in Sri Lanka’s construction industry through the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and enterprise technology systems.
A board-certified professional with a master’s degrees in project management, he brings strategic insight, technical depth, and global experience to high stakes leadership roles. His contributions extend beyond industry through charitable initiatives from overseeing his ancestral home for the orphaned to upgrading rehabilitation centers for injured war veterans. Eshan Tudawe is a third-generation leader driving innovation and growth at Tudawe Brothers. With over 15 years of experience across engineering, trading, and strategic transformation, he has led major MEP and façade projects—including Sri Lanka’s first IMAX cinema—and expanded Kärcher’s presence through modern marketing and lean operations. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from King’s College London with strategic training from Harvard, Eshan is known for his digital-first mindset, sharp execution, and passion for building high-performing teams and impactful ventures.

Eshan Tudawe is the CEO of Tudawe Engineering and Tudawe Trading, and serves as a Director at Tudawe Brothers (Pvt) Ltd—third-generation businesses that continue to shape Sri Lanka’s built environment. With over 15 years of hands-on leadership in engineering, trading, and strategic innovation, Eshan has played a pivotal role in transforming traditional business units into agile, growth-oriented, and future-ready organizations.
At Tudawe Trading, he led the successful market expansion of Kärcher’s professional cleaning systems in Sri Lanka, introducing mobile service units, integrated 360° marketing strategies, and lean operational frameworks that significantly grew the brand’s footprint.
At Tudawe Engineering, Eshan has overseen the execution of several high-impact MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), aluminium, and glass façade projects. These include iconic developments such as Sri Lanka’s first IMAX cinema, landmark high-rise towers, hospital infrastructure, and major commercial complexes.
Academically, Eshan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London, and has also studied Strategic Management at Harvard Summer School, reflecting his strong technical foundation and strategic business acumen.

Romali Tudawe

Romali Tudawe is a forward-thinking corporate leader and legal professional who currently serves as the CEO and Executive Director of Tudawe Brothers (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s most respected and long-standing construction firms. Her leadership blends a strong legal background with strategic vision, fostering innovation, governance, and sustainability within the organization.
An Attorney-at-Law by profession, Romali holds an LLB from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an LLM from Stanford University, with specializations in corporate governance, contract law, securities regulation, and financial markets. Before transitioning into the family business, she practiced as a litigation counsel, gaining practical experience in complex corporate and regulatory matters.
Romali is actively involved in national industry leadership. She is the Vice President of the Chamber of Construction, and Legal Advisor & Board Member of the Major Constructors Association of Sri Lanka (MCASL)—playing a vital role in shaping industry standards and advocacy.
Her influence extends beyond the corporate world. Romali is a champion of gender equity and public policy. She serves as the Chairperson of Everystory Lanka, a feminist storytelling and knowledge-sharing collective, and sits on the Advisory Board of Arutha, a policy think tank focused on public debt and taxation reforms.
